Understanding VU Collaborate Home and My Space Home

VU Collaborate Home is your starting point. It is also your organisation's homepage where you can access widgets, tool links on the navbar, organisation-level content, and other available resources.

Space Home is the first page you see when you navigate to a unit/course. Similar to VU Collaborate Home, it also contains widgets, tool links on the navbar, and resources that enable you to access your personal information, account settings, and unit/course specific content.

The minibar is your main navigation tool to units/courses and personal settings in VU Collaborate. The minibar contains a link to Home, the unit selector, alerts, and your personal menu.

Space selector

Your units are listed in the space selector, and you can sort them by unit name or by date last accessed. You can also select specific units from the space selector and pin them to the top of the list for easier navigation.Click Load More Courses to expand the space list, or use the Search field to find your unit.

Messages  Email, Instant Messaging messages, and My ePortfolio invites.

Updates  New and updated news posts, upcoming end dates and due dates, new and updated grades, and My ePortfolio item assessments.

Subscriptions  New blog posts, and discussion posts in forums, topics, and specific message threads you subscribed to. Comments left on My ePortfolio items and My ePortfolio subscription notifications.

If you have unread alerts, a red circle appears on the appropriate alert icon.

Personal menu

The personal menu contains links to account settings and logout. Click your name on the minibar to open the personal menu.

The navbar is your main navigation tool within a unit/course. It displays the unit/course name, tool links, custom links, and custom link groups. Each unit/course can have its own unique navbar to provide relevant tools and resources.
