Setting up an ePortfolio Presentation

My ePortfolio is a personal portfolio tool for storing, organising, reflecting on and sharing items that represent your learning. You can include documents, graphics, audio files, videos, presentations, unit work, etc to demonstrate your improvement or mastery in a certain area. Making a Presentation of things you have added to your ePortfolio is a useful way to demonstrate and share your work. 

Step One

Login to VU Collaborate. From your homepage you click on the View My ePortfolio link:

You can also access your ePortfolio under the Tools menu (Tools > ePortfolio) when you are in a space (Unit or Course you are enrolled in).


Step Two

In the ePortfolio tab click New, then Presentation to build a web based presentation of your work:

Note: this Presentation can be edited or exported as a standalone website at any time.


Step Three

Click through the tabs to design your presentation.

Start by setting the properties of the presentation:


Step Four

Use the Content/Layout tab to create the pages you want (eg: Visual Diary, Video, Sound, Visual Design, Assessments):


Step Five

Decide on what you want your banner to say (eg: 'Creative Arts Industries Folio'):


Step Six

Select a theme for your presentation from the available options:


Step Seven

Run your presentation to see how it looks.

You can add files and reflective comments to the presentation at any time. Simply upload a file and click the context menu next to it and select Add to Presentation.


Select the existing presentation and then select the page and content area to add the file to:


Step Eight

Therev are a number of options to share and export your presentation. Clicking on the contect menu next to the presentation will enable you to explore these:
