Copying Content Between Spaces
VU Collaborate allows instructors to copy content between spaces. This is a very useful tool for instructors who offer similar spaces simultaneously or during separate semesters. The following documentation demonstrates the process of copying space components/content from one space to another.
Step One: Space Administration
Log into the space you wish to copy content into. From Space Admin click on Import/Export/Copy Components.
Step Two: Import/Export/Copy Components
Choose Copy Components from Another Org Unit. An org unit refers to another space in VU Collaborate.
Note: No student data or user data will be copied across.
Protected Resources are professionally published content that requires authentication, this is ticked by default.
Click Search for offering to find the space you wish to copy from.
Step Three: Select Space to Copy
In the Search For text field, enter the space you wish to copy from, click the search button then click the radio button next to the Offering Code and click Add Selected.
Step Four: Copy All Components
Choose either Copy All Components or Select Components.
Note : The remaining steps will explain the process of Selecting Components. If you choose Copy All components, the materials will begin copying to your space.
Step Five: Choose components to Copy
A list of components will appear once you choose a space to copy from. Choose individual components to copy, then click Continue.
Step Six: Confirm Components to Copy
Review and confirm the items to be copied. If correct, choose to Finish. If you need to make changes, choose the Go Back button.
Step Seven: Copy Summary
The files will begin copying. If all files are moved successfully, there will be a green check mark to the left of all chosen files.
Note: If you go through this process more than once your components will be duplicated not overwritten.
